Princess Cruises has returned to its Love Boat roots for Wave Season. The sale runs through February and features up to 40 percent off fares, 3rd & 4th guests free, and free cabin upgrades. It can be a deal, but keep in mind:
A) Percentages are calculated from higher launch fares, not the fares you see advertised every day.
B) Taxes and fees must still be paid for the 3rd and 4th passengers, and those can be in the hundreds of dollars.
C) Upgrades are WITHIN cabin classes, not from Inside > Oceanview or Oceanview > Balcony. Still, you can book a premium location at a significant discount.
